Never Again

Travelled on a voyage from Singapore to Vietnam from 04/03/2018 - 16/03/2018 organized by Imagine Cruising, South Africa. From day one the organization was appalling. There was no representative to give a huge party of travellers, all congregated in the hotel lobby, any info on what was going on. When a bus did arrive at noon, we had been waiting in the lobby from 7.30am, if your name was not on the "List" you were basically "*****ed" I might add that this package was an all inclusive package for most of the travellers on Imagine Cruising so transfers were mandatory but if your name was not on the list you had to find alternative transport. On the 6th day when disembarking the Royal Caribbean, Mariner of the Seas, in Singapore the nightmare continued with the bus transfer. No where on the Imagine Cruising itinerary did it say what time or even approx. time the buses would pick you up. Again it was a case of quarrelling with the transfer operator, Destination Asia, to take us to the airport for our next leg of the package to Vietnam. At the Singapore airport we were informed that their was no such flight description for our flight to Hanoi. The only information we had was a departure date, time, airline: Hahn Air, Flight No. H14084, Airline Locator: ZMF35E. I had asked the Imagine Cruising office before leaving South Africa for all Hotel vouchers and Airline tickets in case of an emergency, only to be told that the itinerary was all the documentation needed and that their would be a representative to take care of the rest. This was a classic example of what I feared all along. Finally after many anxious and worrying moments enquiring at all the local travel airlines desks we found our names confirmed on: Airline: Vetjet, Flight No. VJ916. A far cry from what we were originally booked on....... Even though the flight was delayed 4,5 hours and only arrived in Hanoi just before midnight we were collected at the airport, given a group name sheet and a time to meet in the hotel lobby the next morning for our start of our "8 Day Fully Escorted Vietnam Tour". Hahaha, pull the other one....... I still can't work out how a large company like Imagine Cruising can get away with false advertising. Total number of days escorted was 4. Three days in Hanoi and one day in Ho Chi Minh City. My rating for Service and Excellence, out of 10 is a big 1, never to be repeated with this company. I dealt with the South African office but the UK head office was equally as bad according to a couple of British travelers on the tour experiencing the same problems as myself.
