Cancelation Imagine Cruising

We have booked a cruise on MSC Musica to Europe through Imagine Cruising in April 2020 and already paid the deposit of R28 000. With the rapid spreading of the Covid virus in Europe we feel that the risk is too high to go to Europe,thus requested to cancel our booking. I was told that they cannot/will not refund my deposit or any part thereof and they said I need to claim it back from my travel insurance. We did not take out travel insurance at the time we request for cancelation, because we planned to do that only during March at the time of our Visa application. This trip were supposed to be our honeymoon. I feel that they are ******... how can they take R28 000 from someone and refuse to pay back a percentage thereof? Surely Imagine Cruising must have insurance themselves to make provision for this sort of situation? On the other hand it feels to us that they inderctly "force" us now to go on the trip with the cruise ship in order not to loose the deposit, and then have a good chance of contracting the Covid virus in Europe.... so they don't give a dime if they send us off to our deaths..... Furthermore we will not be able to have any kind of honeymoon now, because the money for that is in the pockets of Imagine Cruising.
