Bad service and refusing to refund us our money

I booked bus tickets for the 30 August 2023 from Cape Town to East London. The bus suppose to departure at 19:00 but the time now is 01:33 and I’m still stuck in Cape Town They are refusing to give us our refund as if it’s our problem that the bus broke down. Apparently the bus is damaged and it’s beyond repair even the mechanic guy confirmed that the bus cannot be fixed. For someone that is suppose to be in East London on the 31st August 2023 I’m still in Cape Town station but I paid for the bus and they are refusing a refund
