On the 7th of June 2025 @ 15:00, I made a booking for one night at the President's Boutique Lodge by Ilawu Group, Address 193 President Street, 3100 Vryheid, South Africa, see the attached receipt. In good faith and trust, I paid online via booking .com a sum of R819:00 . On arrival at the gate around 16:45, I pressed the intercom button several times but no response, blown the hooter, and called their number as provided on the receipt, ***, but there was no response. The reason I left their gate is that it was getting darker and I am unfami**** with the area for my family safety, I made an alternative booking at His Glory House in the area, unfortunately on arrival they were fully booked but they assisted me and referred me to Twilight Inn their next door and I paid R780:00 and they provided me with good customer service.

I have contacted the Ilawu Group and explained my situation, and they responded by saying they will not give me a refund as per their policy, and it ends there. To me, this cannot be correct because why would I pay and not pitch instead of sleeping at another place in the same area for R780:00? To me, this is a **** and daylight *******.
