Refusal to pay me back my deposit

I was asked to pay double deposit in order to be issued with a lease and on my monthly statements its been coming written 1 month deposit and I asked the credit control manager why the other deposit is not showing and I'm told only one deposit was allocated so where is the other money I paid IHS Property Management?. I will surely seek legal assistance regarding this. Of the R13 600 deposit paid they tell me only R6800 is allocated to my account. That's daylight roberry I have been taking care of the flat like my own I didn't demolish or vandalize anything and in return they try take my deposit like that.
