Lack of Transparency, Reeking Unit and Poor Service

This was one of the WORST DECISIONS OF MY LIFE!!! 😡, I literally had no choice but to terminate the lease immediately after I had stayed there for TWO DAYS.

Ever since I moved in at 14 Delvers Street Marshaltown I’ve not had any peace. I discovered while there that there is what they call shared fees which is R40 rands a day, a fee that is charged in addition to the rental you had paid, and if this amount is not paid, your account will be in errears and when I enquired about this and enquired about why this was not explained, Collen said even Clement doesn’t know about this but he was present when I paid the deposit and was signing the lease.

Furthermore, I was informed that Gas, electricity and water are billed as one.

The stove I was given takes forever to heat, when I complained about the stove I was told by collen that the stove takes time to boil water, and to me that sounded like he is aware that the stove had a problem but no alternative.

The unit I moved in had a stench that would not go away, which made me wonder if they clean the place and at this point I was tired already of complaining.

My advice:

Before moving in, ask them about shared fees and what how their utilities are billed, and then make an informed decision.
