Still waiting on a refund.........
In May of 2022, I decided to pay my membership in full as I had some extra money. It was just one less debit order, that is how I was thinking.
Fast forward to 30th December 2022, where Ignite Fitness decided to debit my account of R349 (monthly membership fee). Looked and sounded strange to me, as my membership had been paid in full right? I immediately called them, demanding an explanation, unfortunately the accounts department was not open, and would only open in January. Fair enough. I said I would wait.
Once I thought it had been sufficient time, I gave them a call in the second week of January 2023 and spoke to the Front of House Manager explaining what had been done. She then advised, that I wud have to complete a refund form and send it back to her, she would then forward it to the accounts department and have them refund my money. Sounded easy enough, I did just that and followed up with her a few days later, only to be told that she had sent it off to them and that refunds take up to 15 or 21 working days to be in your account.
I was furious, because this shouldn't have happened to begin with, i had a paid up membership, which in fact, showed on the system under my name. So why should I wait for money that shouldn't have been taken? She also couldn't explain as to why that had happened either, nor could those who worked at the accounts department.
Its now 10 February 2023 and I have still not received my money, I called to follow up and explained that I am getting fed up with the waiting and all she could say was that she was following up again, because the accounts department emailed her that the refund had been processed.
So that is my story, my review is that one should not join this gym and from what I have seen on here and reviews I received from friends, this gym seems to be the worst gym ever. No wonder, you'll only find about 10 people actually working out at the gym.
