The gym at Newspaper House in Cape Town CBD shut down suddenly without any warning or communication to its members. Phone lines are disconnected, no way to contact Ignite to find out what is happening. They have also disabled comments on their social media channels and revoked access to the app for members of this branch.

My 12-month contract that was paid upfront has not ended, but I can't even go to another location because they have revoked my access from Ignite entirely after shutting down this branch.

Honestly, the bright side is that I did pay upfront and they don't have my banking details because there would be no way for me to cancel a debit order other than disputing with my bank otherwise.

Insane to just shut down a location with 0 communication or warning and revoke memberships.
