Lying to bring on new clients - ******** - Randburg branch

I discussed with Quentin at the Ranburg Gym, prior to signing up, the options and benefits of each option(Normal vs Vitality Active). Once informed, I said to Quentin that I will then return in 1 month, once my Vitality is active, to complete the contract. He then informed me I do not need to, I can just come in to update my contract once my vitality is active to enjoy the discount. I asked him specifically if this would incur any additional charges such as an additional fee or other challenges like signing another contract, and he informed me that it would not. Based on this understanding and explanation, I proceeded to sign up with Ignite Fitness and pay the activation fee for signing up.

When my Vitality was activated and I came in to have the update completed, I was told Quentin is no longer with the company but I can talk to another person to get helped. This person made me fill in a full contract again, whilst I kept telling them I was informed that I would not need to do this. After which I waited for the discount to kick in but was debited a full amount. I reversed that and contacted them to ask why they had not enabled my Vitality discount. I was then told I needed to pay an activation fee. I informed them of the commitment they made to me, and that based on these grounds, the original contract is either voided due to them lying, or they need to enable my discount. They then debited a higher amount again in the middle of the month, and I reversed this again.

This company is a money grabbing *****. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM.
