Ignite Fitness Ferndale on Republic continued unavailability of facilities

I have been a member at the Ferndale on Republic branch for a few years now and have been very happy with the service and equipment, but this does not negate the problem of still not having any plan for load shedding.

The Ferndale on Republic shopping centre does have backup power so I cannot understand why Ignite still doesn't have anything in place to help members when there is no power. The free weights area is dimly lit with a handful of LED lamps and the changing/bathrooms have no light at all making the use of them during load shedding impractical at best.

Furthermore, as was the case this morning again when the gym was supposed to open at 05:00 with a group of members waiting outside, there were no staff and no notices that the gym would be closed during load shedding. This is not the first time that I experienced this and from other members I can see that I am not the only one who has experienced this.

How can members with a fixed schedule be expected to make use of the facilities if they are closed without notice and impractical to use?
