Subject: Important Notice Regarding Business Dealings with Cecile from IGadi House, Cape Town Dear Contractors, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share a recent experience involving a client, Cecile from IGadi House in Cape Town, which we believe may be relevant for fellow contractors to consider before engaging in future business with her. We recently undertook a delivery to her property under challenging conditions. Due to access limitations, we recommended the use of a crane to ensure a safe and professional delivery. However, this suggestion was declined by the client due to cost concerns. Out of goodwill and in the spirit of accommodating her request before the Christmas break, our team proceeded with the delivery through an alternative and highly difficult route—over a security wall and between trees. Unfortunately, during the delivery, one of the product panels sustained minor damage. Given the timing—close to year-end and supplier closures—we communicated to the client that we would address the issue early in the new year. Despite reaching out on three separate occasions to rectify the matter, the client responded with hostility and subsequently posted damaging reviews on Hello Peter and Google, including references to unrelated third parties. We believe this situation escalated unnecessarily and wish to caution other contractors that similar interactions may expose your business to public criticism, even in cases where you act in good faith to resolve matters.
