weFix - Warranty repair - no response - no explanation
My Samsung J2 phone stopped working on March 26, 2019. I booked it in at weFix Canal Walk on Tuesday 2 April just after 1pm. The phone was noted to have a couple of scuff marks, and I agreed to this. I presented the original proof of purchase to indicate that the phone was only just over 1 year into its 2 year warranty period. Copies were made of the invoice. Then around noon the next day I received a quotation for repairs to the value of around R1500, with a comment that the phone was "Out of Warranty - Physical Damage". No explanation was given for this, nor an explanation of what the assessed issue was, or what the proposed repair entailed. I rep**** immediately to the branch asking for this information. When I did not receive a reply by the 4pm on 3 April, I phoned the branch and chose the menu option to speak to the workshop. The phone was not answered and I left a detailed message asking to be called back. The next day at 11am on 4 April, when I had not been phone back, I managed to get hold of Taariq at reception, and he promised me that the technician Jackson would phone me back in the afternoon (he comes in afternoons). I had received no reply by the end of 4 April, and left another message on the workshop number. At this point (4:30pm) neither phone line was being answered despite numerous attempts. Today, 5 April, I have tried since 9am to contact either reception or the workshop, and left messages on both lines. It is now 3pm, and I have still not had a response via email or phone. weFiz Canal Walk does not seem to have been answering its phones for the day. I expect my phone to be repaired urgently and within warranty at not cost to me. I hope to receive a response from weFix urgently.
