WeFix offers a warranty that means absolutely nothing since they refuse to honour it

Booked in a Samsung S8 at the Centurion branch to repair a flickering screen. This was according to them caused by a cracked screen. After we received the phone back part of the screen started to flicker again, shortly after a line appeared on the screen. Took the phone back to the Centurion branch and told them that the screen flickers intermittently and at the stage the screen did not flicker which was difficult to show them, but according to them it was caused by a line on the screen that was apparently pressure damage. Keep in mind the line appeared after the flickering started. I told the guy that the phone was not dropped at all and the screen was not cracked. He said the screen must have been pushed or we stood on the phone. How in the world do you stand on a phone without cracking the screen. I took the phone and told them my husband would go back. When my husband took in the phone same story, but they booked the phone in for a technician to assess. They keep on stating that the line was caused by pressure, and we keep explaining the line is not the issue the flickering is. This is what the phone went in for and repairs were paid for. They escalated to Samsung that needed to communicate with us, which is a problem as they work on photos and do not have the phone. We are still awaiting the last response from Samsung. Went back to WeFix on Friday to speak to them. They said that do we want to take back the phone as it has been sorted, we said that it has not been sorted as Samsung never answered us back. We stated that this is not Samsungs problem as our warranty is with WeFix not Samsung, Samsung did not repair the phone. They said well we voided the warranty and they have offered us a discount on repairs. We stated to them that we did not void the warranty as per the warranty conditions of WeFix states: ". 3.2. Our warranty will be voided if someone else repairs the device, or if it is damaged after we have repaired it. Device damage that will void the warranty includes dents, cracks, burns, scratches, liquid damage, viruses, and malware" I asked them to please show me this on the phone and they can't. They keep showing me the line on the screen, which we told them numerous times is not the problem and that is not any of the conditions mentioned above that voids the warranty. There are no dents, cracks, burns or scratches that voids the warranty. The first time they repaired the phone they said the flickering was due to the screen being cracked. Now it still flickers and there are no cracks on the screen. I requested to please speak to the manager which the lady said that she is the manager. I then told her to please give me the number of her senior. She then just left the desk. I requested from the gentleman that was still there to please provide me with her seniors number and he stated that the manager has gone to call him. She returned after a while and said that she spoke to her regional manager and that he will phone us back now. I asked her to please provide me with his number and she just said no he will phone. I asked when he will call as i wanted to know if i could leave the store and she said now. 2 hours later just before 5pm i phoned the branch again as we had not heard from the regional manager. I requested to speak to the manager again and i was informed that she had gone home. I asked to please give me the regional managers number and the gentleman said that he did not have his number but he will send him an email to say we are waiting for his call and he will get his number from the manager and then phone back and give us the number. Yet we are still waiting for his number and his call. This is really ridiculous. WeFix does a botch job, blames it on damage they fail to prove and then does not bother to get back to the customer. I tried to sort it out with them directly, but they could not be bothered hence my review. I am definitely as the customer not going to keep phoning them to do a job they get paid to do. What a joke.

 Good Day Geanine,

Thank you for taking the time to review us.

We are sorry you feel this way about weFix, however, your device has been assessed and has been declared to be physically damaged.

We understand you're upset, but physical damage is not covered by Samsung's warranty.

We are obliged to comply with Samsung warranty terms and conditions, the store has further escalated this and we have tried to assist you as best we can, however, we cannot cover damage caused by impact, as per our weFix T&C's.

Additionally, we have also offered you a resolution, meeting you more than halfway but you had rejected this and resorting to Hello Peter complaint as a form of leverage when weFix is already beyond its mandate, will not return the desired result.

Our feedback to you is final and should you wish to proceed, you're welcome to let us know.

KInd Regards,
JL

As i have asked previously show me the damage that voids the warranty as per your terms and you can't. I have written a review due to trying to communicate to you and i am still waiting for the reply from Samsung and the call from the Regional Manager. You certainly have not gone out of your way to assist me, if you have then i would have had a call from the Regional Manager on Friday already as i was told i would get. As mentioned WeFix repaired my phone my warranty is with you not Samsung. The warranty i was given was with WeFix not Samsung, i could not care less what Samsungs' warranty states as my warranty is with WeFix. Replying on here instead of picking up a phone and calling just shows how bad your service is. You choose to give a reply without even speaking to the customer first. As i told the people in the store show me the damage that voids the warranty i would accept it, but to date no one has shown me the burns, scratches, dents or cracks as stated on your warranty, because their is none.

Update eventually got a call from WeFix. Seems i should be grateful to pay half price on repairs with a warranty that is not voided as per their terms. They keep stating that Samsung says the warranty is voided, but they do not seem to understand that my warranty is with WeFix. At no point was i informed that i am bind by Samsungs warranty. Not sure then why they have their own terms if they do not use them. The gentleman i spoke to acknowledged that they can't show me any dents, scratches, burns or cracks that void the warranty, but they still won't honor their warranty. WeFix seems to reserve the right to move the goal posts as they see fit to not honor a warranty.

Hi Jeanine

Again, we're sorry you feel this way.

On our side we can positively say we have assisted you as best we could. We understand you wanted a call from the Regional Manager but prior to that, the store and Samsung has advised you that this repair is not in warranty. There was no additional feedback to give thereafter.

weFix has given you sufficient feedback and even escalated to Samsung who was in agreement with this feedback due to the evidence at hand.

See below image of damage to the screen which voiced the warranty.

Kind Regards.

Yes i expected a call from a senior person as i was told I would get since the store failed to prove how the warranty was voided. Seems you don't understand i do not care about Samsungs warranty as my warranty is with wefix. Your warranty can't be transfered to a 3rd party yet you pass the buck to honor your warranty to a 3rd party. Nowhere was I informed that i am bound by Samsungs warranty. Please attach your physical damage image again indicating burns scratches, dents or cracks which void the warranty as per your terms. i can't see any image attached.
