We say Wefix : WeLie

Cat **** on MacBook. MacBook rushed straight to Melrose Arch Wefix. Promised they would run liquid damage protocol shortly and I could likely have laptop back in the evening. After phoning each day for three weeks and being told one lie after another that machine was almost there, they were running Diagnostics etc. , I was so angry I arrived unannounced and demanded computer back as it was. Suspicions were confirmed that they had not even opened it when theyreturned it still smelling of cat pee. I was livid. Sent email to CEO asking him to call me re abysmal service. I was contacted by a Gisel who acted indignant about the way I was **** to and she promised to do her best to resolve it. Computer fetched from me and couriered to Eastgate, then to Woodmead, then to Capetown and another week or two later to me dead and screen not working. Still desperate to access old files, I spoke to my brother in Germany last night. He told me to put MacBook in freezer for ten minutes, to pat it gently and try and switch on. Did so. It powered up! Then he said I should shine torch on screen to see if I could see anything. Did so and could see startup screen feintly. Logged in and hooked mac up to TV with HDMI cable and voila! Everything accessible. All that is needed is a backlight or inverter for the screen and the computer is good as new. Thanks for five or six weeks of frustration, inconvenience and no result.

Good day Michelle
It is sad to see that you do not feel that I did my best in light of me arranging for your device to be assessed as speedily and thoroughly as possible as soon as you made contact with me.
As advised, prior to returning your Mabcook to you your device does work hence I suggested that the most affordable option would be for you to connect it to an external monitor - all your data is still on your device but the display has been compromised.
If my technician could have repaired your unit he would have, especially baring in mind your poor experience with two of our branches. As also communicated to you previously, your device would require a new display assembly which is rather pricey and you have advised that you would be willing to spend this sum of money.
Once again I am truly sorry for the misfortune of your cat urinating on your device and I honestly did everything that I could once this was escalated to me. I am also sorry about the service received from both our stores and have already dealt with them appropriately in this regard.
Sincerely wishing you all the best,
