We Fix broke my Iphone
My beloved Iphone 5 was in a perfect condition. The only thing was that the battery life after 3 yrs was starting to become a nuisance. It would last about 6 hours on a single charge and I thought why not do a battery exchange to make life easier. There is a charger in my home and car so it wasn't really that big of a problem but come on its just R349.01 for a battery exchange in a phone that is otherwise in an immaculate condition. I made the biggest mistake to take it to Wefix in Mall of Africa. I gave them the phone on 26/11/2017 and was phoned the next day to come and collect it. The phone was off when I got it and when I got home the phone was not charging at all and I couldn't switch it on. I took it back the next day and was promised a working phone the next day. Then I got the phone two days later it was still not charging and didn't want to switch on. I took it back to them and had a long conversation with the manager, Susan. I was told that it would take at least a week to sort out the problem because the phone needed to be send away to a competent technician. She said that there was something wrong with the motherboard off the phone and that it would cost me about R1300 to fix. I told her that I gave them a working phone and that they are the ones responsible for breaking it and should pay for the repair. She agreed and the phone was send away to be fixed by a "competent" technician. I phoned them a week later and they assured me that the phone was in a working condition and that I can come and collect. I asked them over the phone to make sure that the phone is fully charged when I get there so that I can make sure it is charging. They put the phone on the charger and phoned me back in an hour that I shouldn't come and collect the phone because the screen was flashing but at least it was definitely charging. They would work on it and let me know when I can come and collect. Three days later I was told to come and collect it. On arrival at the store the phone was on and 80% charged. I was told that I shouldn't let the charge go below 5% otherwise I would be unable to switch it on again. Apparently a problem that all Iphone5's get at some stage in their lives....... Took the phone and inserted my simcard. Firstly I had full signal but was unable to download any data. I was able to phone out though. I had lunch at the mall and after 2 hours from getting my phone the battery drained from 80 to 5%. I took the phone back and its still there. 20 days later and no phone. Asked for a replacement phone was told that it wasn't part of their policy to provide one. What to do now?? Told Susan the manager that I want an Iphone 5 in working condition before the end of the week and are still waiting for a reply from her after I was promised she would call me back within 24hrs. Your name should change to I BREAK and by no means should be Wefix. You are misrepresenting yourselves and are giving customers false hope of having their devises fixed..................... Kind Regards Dirk Steyn
