Warranty Part 2

Had a Samsung S6 screen repaired by WeFix Eastgate in Jan/Feb 2017 (over R3000)!. Waited a while (more than the 14 days as was promised) & collected. Got phone & told that there is a 1 yr warranty for phone. Found that the volume button wasnt working, mailed them the next day. Told him to bring phone back, but after having been without phone for so long, reluctant to do so......so....approx 3 weeks ago, phone just stops working.....took it back to WeFix Eastgate and told that parts will be ordered, but also that phone is Quality checked before given back to client (1st problem - that was not claimed in the initial email that was sent the day after 1st repair) - to replace this part approx quote R2 300?????????????????

Phone booked in on 24th & on 28th an email received saying that part received and will be replaced, so phone will be working.......nothing about volume button (again, only to happy that phone will be working again, so leave at this)

Later on the same day, WeFix called and claimed that there was physical damage to phone and that the warranty now doesnt cover screen, and now suddenly, instead of it being repaired, now below mentoned emails start coming through!

"Yes after a technician assessed the device it was found that there is a small crack on the top of your LCD screen, this is regarded as physical damage and that is why it is not covered under warranty. We cannot replace a screen on a rework if the device has physical damage." (WeFix)

?????????????????????????????????????

HOW WAS PART ORDERED AND ONLY ASSESSED ONCE RECEIVED?????????????????? Y WAS THE "PROBLEM" NOT DETECTED WHEN INITIAL ASSESSMENT TOOK PLACE?????? SOUNDS VERY FISHY!!!!??????

"According to me my phone was never dropped so how can there possibly physical damage ?

The screen just went blank and it stopped working ??" (CLIENT)

"Hi Keanan

Its not a drop crack, its a small hairline crack on the LCD and that is why it went blank and stopped working. This could happen if maybe you sat on the device or if pressure was app**** somehow. Im honestly not sure what might have happened? But we cannot replace it under warranty. "(WeFix)

Is this another case of pay & we'll give you a warranrty, but meanwhile back @ the ranch, that is just an empty promise?

Clearly WeFix = 1; Client = 0

Big dogs win again! Small Dog losers!!!!!

I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE & CHAIN OF EVENTS!!!! NEED

TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WITH AUTHORITY, PLEASE???

Official business reply:

Good day

I am so sorry to hear of your experience with us. Please note that I am looking into this matter on your behalf and will provide you with feedback as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Giselle Nareen - National Customer Experience Manager, on behalf of weFix

Then, after this, my son comes home & says that they are prepared to fix the ribbon of the phone “volume buttons”, but not the rest?

Is this how it works???????????
