Useless Battery Installed

I replaced the battery of my iPhone6 end of May. The battery weFix installed worked well for roughly 2 months until I could noticeably see it deteriorate. During months 3 and 4 the battery went downhill very fast, and I reached out to Claremont weFix, who did the replacement, requesting a copy of my invoice as it would be required to raise my situation. I eventually found the invoice and sent an email requesting a review of the battery installed. I have bought the battery 5 months ago, it has a 3 month warranty. However, I have been overseas 3 times during this period, where I used my work phone exclusively. I wanted weFix to at least engage with me about the quality of their product installed. Sadly, this is too much to ask for, none of my emails were responded to. I read a number of reviews on this site and now realize that this level of service is par for the course. I believe I was sold a dud, or worse, that weFix is using very low-end replacement parts. At the very least I want to understand the code and quality of the battery they installed to ensure that I can avoid this in future. I am very unhappy with the service received thus far and the likely end result is R400 donated to an en-ethical firm. Life Lesson Learnt.

Good day

After your email to info@wefix the store in question was contacted. You have now apparently been contacted by the store manager in an effort to assist you? I trust that this is in order.

If you have any further queries please feel free to email me on ***

Best regards,

Giselle Nareen - National Customer Experience Manager on behalf of weFix

Reviewer Update
Wow, I just had my mind blown. Still reeling. After my un-answered emails and the above post, weFix emailed me last night and told me that I will be contacted directly by the relevant persons, same as above. I received said phone call this morning and was told that the store is indeed going to assist me, I should bring in my phone. I did just that, drove to Cavendish and we spoke about my phone having no workable battery, that it has to be charging to work and it was pointed out that my battery has swollen from being plugged in. I now feared damage to the phone thanks to this less-than-stellar battery our good friends installed. All good and well, weFix are going to fix this in no time. I was handed a paper with a job nr and told to come back 2 hours later to collect my fixed up phone. Stellar! 2 Hours later I roll into the store and was handed my phone, battery replaced. I was also handed the bill. A cool R449 for a new battery. I said this must be a mistake, I replaced and paid for a battery just over 4 months ago, I explained the whole sad story, and that I was told to come in for the fix. No mention that it would be R449, even more expensive than the R389 I paid for the useless original battery. The manager of the Claremont store tells me that it was her that phoned me this morning, and that she will agree to a 20% discount. I explain that I am perturbed. I was not told to bring my wallet, I was told above, by email and by phone, that my useless battery, for which I paid full price, is going to be fixed. Silly me thought this meant that weFix would be doing the honorable thing, in no way did I realise that it meant a R449 invoice, and when I moaned, a 20% reduction. The joke is on me for getting carried away when people offered assistance. I felt that the effort was a sincere offer, not another sale. Sadly, from a moral standpoint, I will not be paying again for a battery brand I have absolutely no faith in, nor would I be paying a firm I believe to have the opposite ethics to those I sign up to. I would gladly support the competition, in whatever form that may be, for the rest of my life. And if I may be so bold as to suggest something, it would be that if a client is going to be forced to pay for something, be clear in explaining the terms, and the sum surrounding the transaction. I believe the Consumer Protection Act covers substantially the "RIGHT TO FAIR VALUE, GOOD QUALITY AND SAFETY" and it is my opinion that you fell short on this during our dealings. You also appear to have no appetite to do right by your customer and I wish you luck in future.
