Unprofessional

Last week Monday i visited the I-fix repair store in Centurion Mall, to enquire whether they had an LCD and screen for a Samsung Core Prime. I was told they was no stock available and they will keep me updated as soon as they is stock available, they was no response or any communication. On Wednesday i went into the store again to enquire whether they have outsourced the parts, i was told that they were having problems with the stock delivery.
I been waiting patiently for a week now ,am always the one calling to follow up. I do not think that the staff at Centurion has asked the branches within their region like Brooklyn and Menlyn for the parts, I been getting excuse about the delays with their delivery.
I been communicating with the staff at Fourways crossing& I was told that they place the orders on Monday and Wednesday and the estimated time for the availability of stock takes about 2 working days.
Shouldn't that apply to all your stores?
I will be paying for their services, this will not be a free service. I been without my work phone for over a week because am not getting any assistance. I have worked in the retail sector before& this is NOT HOW YOU TREAT ANY consumer

Hello Smash1989,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to investigate the delay in parts sourcing and repair of your device.

Firstly, we would like to apologise for not making it clear that we would only be contacting you once the parts have been received.

Secondly, when ordering Samsung parts, each iFix branch is unfortunately constrained to specific order dates (twice a week) and by the availability of the specific parts.

Although we were not given the opportunity to fully assess the device beforehand, we went ahead and ordered the obviously damaged parts anyway.

Once these arrived and when we received the device again, we found that there were other factors preventing proper functionality, namely a faulty motherboard.

We therefore decided to have the mother board replaced by our Clearwater branch, which specialses in these repairs. Subject to your approval, of course.

We trust that this explanation will provide some insight into the processes involved in a complex repair and thank you for your patience.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards
