****** PHONE BY WEFIX CANAL WALK OR SAMSUNG EMPLOYEES
I received my Samsung A50 on 27 July via Telkom Canal Walk. When the device was 10 days old, I overslept as the alarm never went off and then I realised that the phone was completely dead and would not switch on. I got to work and research it and realised it was called the Black Screen of Death and then found out how to switch the phone on again, by holding the power off and volume button at the same time for about 45 seconds. After this it died 3 times again, (luckily I knew how to switch it on after the research), and each time I switched it back on again the battery was on 69% and 100% and 24% respectively. I then took it to We Fix it on Saturday, 10th August, as I can only get to Canal Walk on weekends (and I had something on on Women’s day) – reference number CWSA210149. I was on leave the Monday, the 12,th and tried my luck to go to Canal Walk and see if my phone was done (as I had a loan phone that only lasts about 2 hours with the battery) and they said that they had replaced the mother board and that they are in the final stages of testing it and that I must come back in an hour to collect it, which I did on Monday, the 12th.
During the next week, the phone died 3 times again with the exact same problem! In the meantime, I received a call from WeFixIt head office (think it was a Durban number) and almost bit the women’s head off on asking me on how I found their service and the fixing of my phone. I shouted at the poor women and told her worst service ever and worst phone ever etc etc. I then received a phone call from a guy at Samsung to say that they will revert to me after my complaint about Samsung being the worst phone ever. No-one phoned me again. I therefore took the phone in again on Saturday, 24 August, explaining that exact the same problem is occurring. ***. I then received an email to say that the job was closed and that the phone can be collected. I left a message for the technician to call me, which he did and he told me that nothing was wrong with the phone and that it was an app that was not working. I told him I do not want to phone back and that he must get Samsung to phone me, which no one did. I then received the email attached, which stated that the job was closed on the 30th. On Saturday, 31 August, I went to collect my phone and they could not find it. After waiting around for about 45 minutes while they were trying to find it, I was told that the reason for this is because the job was closed and then they phone Samsung and then confirmed that the phone was sent to Samsung on Friday, 30 August, when the job was closed. The lady promised me that WeFixIt will give me an update on Monday, 2 September, to confirm what Samsung has said about the phone. When I did not hear from them by about 16:00 on Monday, 2 September, I left a message on their voice mail (no one answered) to phone me, and no one phoned. Luckily the lady on Saturday, gave me the Samsung head office number to ring should I need to follow up with Samsung after their feedback on Monday. And that is when I phoned Samsung on Monday when WeFix omitted to phone me and received the reference number above. In the meantime I researched over the weekend how to get my gmail off the Samsung A50 and found out via the research and going onto the gmail account that the Samsung A50 was used on the 5th September!!!! UP TO NOW not one person from We Fix it has phoned me, although they told Samsung twice yesterday they would. Samsung has been in contact with me and told me yesterday that something is fishy as WeFix Head office says phone is missing and WeFix Canal Walk says I came to collect it on the 26th August (which is a Monday and I do not go near Canal Walk in the week), but yet I received a collect your phone on the 27th August. Now Samsung wants to close the case because they do not know what to do!!!!! WTH - it is their agent where I had to take a brand new phone to to have it fixed 2X before the phone was a month old :-( :-( I am going to SAPS Milnerton tonight to open a case of theft against WeFix Canal Walk.
