Not able to use phone after weFix repairs

I booked in my Iphone for repairs at weFix Brooklyn mall to replace the screen and battery. (Job number BNPH293606). The phone was still a fully functional Iphone and I used it that morning of booking it in. The screen was cracked and the batteries health wasn’t 100% as per the phones report. I received a new Iphone hence the reason to fix up the current phone to be able to keep as a spare at the office. I collected the “repaired” Iphone as requested by Wefix. On the same day the phone was collected I noticed the phone does not charge properly and the Iphone notified me that it’s “unable to verify this iphone has a genuine Apple battery.” Meaning Wefix install generic hardware. The facial recognition also didn’t work anymore. The phone was taken back to weFix the very next day where the battery was replaced by weFix. The Wefix personnel informed me that when replacing a screen the facial recognition part can break and sorry that’s in the T&C’s. Problem no 1. It became clear that the new battery did not make any difference at all as the situation actually got worse. The phone didn’t even turn on. I went back to weFix Brooklyn mall and asked them to remove their battery and screen from the device and to refund the R6000 I’ve paid them. They booked the phone in to check first if what I was saying was true and came back, stating they will only refund R999 for the battery as the screen was scratched and dented in the 1 day I used it and this voids the warranty. I signed the form when handing it in and in very small print its says if scratch or dented warranty voided. The screen was not scratched when I handed it in! So to date I have spent over R6000.00 and left with a phone that doesn’t work. The best part is that Wefix says it’s my fault. I cannot believe that a company can get away with this. If you reading this PLEASE never use Wefix, they will find a way not to refund or help you. Completely and truly unacceptable.

 Good morning Amafu,

Trust you are well & having a good morning thus far,

We're sorry to see that your experience with us was unsatisfactory.
However, please do note the following:
Our terms and conditions state that we only utilize high-quality, manufacturer-compatible parts i.e. generic parts which work on Apple devices.  These terms and conditions also advise that physical and/or liquid damage voids our warranties.

You returned to us claiming that the battery that we replaced was problematic yet we found no fault with it - regardless, we replaced it under warranty for you.
You were also advised that the initial damage to your device was in the upper region of your phone i.e. around the front camera and face recognition module and that your device was in activation mode meaning that minimal functionality could be tested/verified.

We have offered you a refund on the battery only since as noted above, the new damage found on the screen that you replaced with us voids our warranty.

Furthermore, our Customer Service team will be sending you an email shortly and advise on a way forward in this regard.

Best regards,

weFix

Good day WeFix
Thank you for your response on Hello Peter and for emailing us directly.
We are insisting on a full refund since as you mentioned the screen has scratches on as well as dents. There are no dents on the phone. We also did not scratch the phone in the one day that we had it. This most likely happened when the battery was being replaced by WeFix, hence the reason the service agent assisting me was wiping the screen to point it out .
It is also stated that the device is lopping on the apple logo – this is ALSO not true as it was never lopping. It did not switch on.
We will take full responsibility if you can prove that you didn't scratch the phone, if you can't please refund us in full.
Kind regards
Amafu Developments
