iPhone not working after repair

Hi,

I had my iPhone repaired and battery replaced at Gardens iFix. On collecting the phone the device was unable to charge once the phone battery died. They took the phone in twice to resolve the issue. On the third time i went to go see them they advised that they could not repair the phone as the fault was with the mainboard and that they would refund me the original charge for the battery and screen as well as refund me the plus membership that is meant to cover all faults on the phone since the device was irrecoverable. it was only on the 3rd visit that they advised that the phone had been damaged by water and this was affecting the charging. I questioned the quality of technicians as it had taken them the 3rd attempt for them to advise on this. The regional manager called to advise that they will give the phone back but the phone cannot die as it is at risk. What didnt make sense was that this came from the Regional Manager. Instead of addressing the issue within his business he imp**** that I should be okay with carrying the risk. I disagree with the integrity of his message.

Good Morning Mr. Chumba

I would like to apologise again that the whole ordeal had taken so pain staking long, I do agree that the time frame had taken too long and I will be taking this up with the branch personally.

As mentioned before liquid damage is extremely fickle when repairing, it effects every facet of the device and the stability of the device is then compromised, the connectors of the device are usually the first to be effected as corrosion builds over it and once cleaned the corrosion originally holding together had been separated.

If you would like us to have another look at the device we would happily do so, and I would arrange that it is done with priority and urgency.

Have a lovely day further.

Joe Robinson / Regional Manager /
