iPhone 6S - Declared beyond economic repair after WeFix repair!

Menlyn WeFix:

The service I have received from the Menlyn store has been appalling to say the least.

I took my iPhone 6S to the Menlyn , Pretoria WeFix on the 7th January 2018 for a screen replacement. ( JOB Number : PTPH034267)

The screen was replaced at a cost of R2000 which is much higher compared to other cell repair stores but because they are an authorized iPhone repair agent I gladly paid the premium rate.

The screen stopped responding on 18th of July 2018 and I took it back to the store as the warranty period is 1 year. (Job Number: PTPH106877)

Firstly no staff member from the store ever called me to say the repair has been completed or even emailed me to collect the phone as they said they would.

I collected the phone on the 19th of July after having to call the store. Nobody informed me the phone was ready for collection.

On collection of the phone it appeared that the screen was replaced. Once I got home to swap the sim from my old phone the same issue accrued and the screen went blank, not responding.

So again I had to take the phone back on the 20th of July. I left the phone at the store to give them enough time to repair it. When I called to find out if they had repaired the phone they could not find it on the system after a staff member gave me a new job card. Very unprofessional service!

Only after complaining on social media directly to WeFix team I was contacted by the technician at the Menlyn store. I was instructed to take my phone back for repairs again and that they would need to keep the phone and monitor it. I took the phone back on the 31-07-2018. Service job no : PTPH111532

Since the 31-07-2018 there was no feedback from the Menlyn store on the repair of my phone. I contacted WeFix team on social media again for this reason and they where the only body from WeFix to ever respond to any of my queries.

To date this is the first response I have ever received from Menlyn WeFix store on On Sat, 25 Aug 2018 to inform me that my device in now beyond repair and that they will dispose of my phone in a environmentally safe way if I would like.

This is unacceptable service to the say the least. I do not accept your solution to the problem, it is not my fault the phone is now beyond economical repair. It was not in this sate when the phone was given to WeFix to carry out the repairs. If this was the case WeFix should have made it clear from the start and not accepted the initial repair.

I would like WeFix to replace the phone with the same model and condition as my iPhone6S as which they received from me.

Please advise how the matter will be resolved?
