<p>I accepted a quote from Ifix Menlyn in April 2016 to repair the screen on my MacBook. The repair would be done within 3 days. </p> <p> </p> <p>Ifix then told me they were having trouble locating the spare parts and that the repair would take longer than expected. But Ifix could not even give me an ETA. This is the message I kept getting from Ifix. </p> <p> </p> <p>Now, in July they have notified me that due to the time they spent sourcing the part, the cost will now be more than R2000 over the originally quoted and agreed to price. </p> <p> </p> <p>If if I accept a quote I expect the service to be delivered at the cost agreed to. </p> <p> </p> <p>It's not my fault Ifix could not get the spares they promised me. </p>

We thank you for affording us the opportunity to investigate what happened during the repair of
your device and whether our internal procedures were followed diligently.
It has emerged that a quote for the replacement part was issued to yourself while this part was in
fact out of stock with all our suppliers. This is unacceptable and the necessary steps were taken to
prevent this from happening in future.
When the part was eventually sourced, the price had increased markedly but we nevertheless
repaired the device as per the original quote.
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and we hope to see you soon
