False asdvertising on specials and wasting my fuel and time

Received and e-mail on special for battery replacement (Valid for the day - No mention of while stocks last or anything like that). I went to Menlyn which said they have no stock (on something they just advertised for the one day???). They phoned Woodlands and confirmed that there is stock. When I got to Woodlands, they also said they have no stock. How can you advertise a special on something you dont have stock for and further waste my time and fuel driving after something you said you have, but don't??
