False advertising
Good Day, I have a complaint about your Gateway store and the general policy of your company. Yesterday, i took my son's iPhone 5C in for a battery replacement. My son was in full school uniform. When i was given the quotation for the repair, i asked the receptionist if the 10% " back to school" promotional discount has been app****. He told me that they can't apply the discount because the battery has already been discounted. I found this unacceptable. I had a look, in the store, at the T&C of the promotion. It does not state anywhere that the 10% back to school offer can be used on an already promotional item. The store then got in contact with the " Manager" a person named Francious. After a lengthy telephone conversation he told me that the fact the is offer can't be used with a promotional offer is imp****. I pointed out to him once again that the T&C's are silent on that matter so it can't be added now. His response was, since it is silent on the matter, the store can include it now. What nonsense is this? The CPA protects me as a consumer, if the contract is does not state a condition, it can't be added at the stores whim and fancy. I was then told by Francious, that point 10. of the T&C's states that WeFix can withdraw the offer, and he is doing that now. How can a store manager act against company policy?
I an shocked at the behaviour of both this individual and the store at large. If the promotion can be used on discounted repairs, IT SHOULD BE STATED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. That's why there are T&C's, it can't be added in later by an arrogant individual.
It goes without saying that i will not do business the Wefix again, and I shall not refer anyone to the franchise either.
Regards,
Good day
