APPLE I PHONE IRREPAIRABLE

I took my Apple I phone into I Fix to see if it could be repaired (water damage) I got sms saying no that it was irrepairable. Fair enough. I phoned them and spoke to the technician (Richard) that worked on my phone and asked if if he could possibly get the photos and videos off - I do understand they he cannot fix it it use as a phone. He answered \Yes 100% yes. I will get a new battery when you come in with your laptop and I can download your pics and videos. The part of the phone that is damaged is the part that allows the phone to charge - yes 100%". My son in law goes in with laptop and is not treated well - stood for 20 minutes before anyone asked if they could help him. And told no ways can they do that.<br> I phone and try get hold of Richard. Get told he will phone me later. More than 2 hours later I am told by the receptionist that sorry Richard says he cant do it. Where did I get that info from?
