Another company taking advantage. *********.
I am a student. I first brought my Ipad Air 2 in to have the screen repaired. After receiving it back, I noticed the home button wasn't working properly. This was a few weeks later. When I enquired, I was categorically told that the home button was replaced when they replaced the screen (I have email proof of this) - that the screen and home button are one. Naturally, this would be WeFix's problem, as they had JUST replaced my screen. Also, my screen was still under warrantee. However, upon bringing in the device, I was told that only the home button would need to be replaced, not the screen I.e., this is my responsibility to pay for and fix. This began to sound very shady, as if WeFix were trying to get out of a costly repair job (the screen cost R3200 and the home button only a few hundred). While I felt as if the communication and service were bad, I was not going to force the issue and accepted that it was an issue of bad communication. I believe I could have, and probably still should have forced the issue because of the position I am in now. I am stuck with having tired ad nauseum to have ordered a simple home button since DECEMBER. It is impossible to elicit decent, semi-professional levels of communication from the cavendish WeFix branch. It is simply as if they do not want my business. Not only to I feel cheated and ********, but WeFix has made absolutely no attempt to "Fix" (an absolute misnomer, if there ever was one) their terrible mistake regarding my screen/home button. I cannot ascertain if a home button will arrive, when - no-one seems to want to help me actually fix this home button.
Please do not respond with a platitude stating that IPad Air 2 screens and buttons are not bound together. This I know, as I have spent more than enough time investigating WeFix's mess. I have in black and white that WeFix employees believed it necessary that my home button be replaced when my screen was replaced. My screen is replaced and my home button stops working. What am I to think? Should I give WeFix the benefit of the doubt? I should also mention that my Ipad forever loses all touch sensitivity now that I need to replace the home button. Is it not possible that there was an accident and my home button needed to be replaced while the screen was replaced? Perhaps this is an uncharitable reading of the situation, and I don't like to view things this way, but unfortunately WeFix is asking me to give an awful lot of leeway to them, and giving me absolutely no reason to do so.
