Idutywa traffic department treatment is sickening !

Hello Peter I d like to complain about the horrible treatment and the worst customer service at the Idutywa traffic department in the Eastern Cape .

Earlier this week on Monday I visited the traffic department because i wanted to book a learners test . I got there , there was a queue outside , confused and not knowing where to go and ask for information I asked the people standing in the queue where to go to ask for information ? because first of all there are no signs and secondly theres no staff members standing outside to help .

So i go inside and the one lady working there is standing by the photocopy machine, i try get her attention , she sees me but she just looks at me and continues making copies or what ever she was doing , mind you im not the only one waiting to enquire. So i try get her attention again she then snaps ! And says im making noise theres an eye test next door which I didn’t know of cause yet again there’s nothing that states that , that time i just wanted to ask for forms . So she tells me and two other people to wait outside she ll attend to us . We got outside we wait to like 20 minutes for her to come outside, she comes outside then acts as if she doesn’t see us , we try get her attention again then she tells us cant we see shes busy ? We wait again , then we try her again so i ask her finally says to me what do you want ? ‘ i say to her i want to book for a learners test , so i just wanted to know what I needed to bring for that ? She tells me you waiting all this time to ask me such question ? Could you not have ask the people standing in this line ? If you had any common sense you should’ve known to ask the people standing here ! Thats exactly her words and this she says infront of people standing in that line . I felt so disrespected and i thought to myself id keep quite for one im not a confrontational person and secondly she was old then me so i did not want to disrespect her like that.

So now walking on egg shells i ask the people standing in the queue what i needed to bring and where did i have to go to make copies things like that . I did that , once I finally got everything I needed i stand in the queue as im standing there one lady goes inside the ask for information i guess she was also there to book learners as she was going inside this rude woman walks outside and the lady tried to get her attention this rude woman snapped at her aswell saying that she’s not there to be asked information shes only there to take photos she doesn’t understand why everyone is asking her questions , now we where confused because theres no one else there but her and if she wasn’t there to help people now why didn’t she direct us to the person who should help us ? One of the three people who waited with me to ask a question left without even getting the information she needed . Im from Cape Town and traffic departments are normally packed with people this one the people there where not even more then 20 but the treatment was the worst ever ! You get there already the lady has an attitude ! Another reason i left without booking for a learners test is because when i got there the prices where now up to book a learners is R213 at their traffic department, im not sure if in the Eastern Cape prices went up or not but in Cape Town its not yet that amount. Honestly if someone that doesn’t have a clue about the learners processes going there you’d be totally lost ! Luckily i know a bit because ive booked before.

The treatment at the traffic department is disturbing and disgusting ! The lack of customer service is sickening ! I truly don’t appreciate the woman saying i lack common sense ! That traffic department should be investigated ! Its the worst traffic department ive ever been too !

I really do hope someone high up see’s this , im sick of this idea of let it go its how people here in the Eastern Cape are , rude ! That woman something should definitely be done about her attitude ! I did not get her name because that day i was even scared to breath around her , i left not have booked ! Please help !
