Worst Service from ABSA

WORST SERVICE RECEIVED FROM ABSA - THE TEAM OF THE HOME OWNERS INSURANCE IS PATHETIC NTLADI MTHIMUNYE

We are extremely disappointed with ABSA Home Owners Insurance. My legitimate hail damage claim was declined purely because their contractor uploaded the wrong photos. Somehow, instead of fixing their mistake, ABSA chose to ignore all the evidence that they are at fault.

I phoned an outside contractor for a quote and report and they still refuse to help me.

I provided all the correct information, reported the damage in good faith, and still ended up with a rejected claim due to an internal/contractor error that I had no control over. There was zero accountability and no real effort to resolve the issue fairly.

This experience has shown me how quick they are to deny claims and how little support you get when something goes wrong on their side. Definitely not the peace of mind you expect from home insurance. I would think twice before trusting ABSA with something this important.

I have requested that an assessor to come out to review but they refuse.

When I spoke to the contractor she said that she phoned ABSA and they confirmed that the reinstated the claim so I'm confused.

I have reported it to The Ombudsman as well.
