Water leakage claim - NO ATTENDANCE FROM ABSA

When I initially reported my claim TWO WEEKS AGO I advised that water was running down my ceiling and through my light fittings. Despite this being communicated from the outset, the matter remains unresolved and I have not received any meaningful feedback on the progress of the claim.

The claim is currently being handled by Lydia Madileng; however, the only thing I've received is a claim number for over the past two weeks. Unfortunately, the situation has now worsened significantly. My lights are repeatedly tripping, and I am concerned that the water ingress into the light fixtures may be creating an electrical hazard.

There are ongoing leaks in the property, and I am extremely concerned about the safety of my family and the risk of further damage to the home. The continued delay in attending to this claim is concerning, particularly given the potential danger posed by water coming into contact with electrical installations.

Hi Leatitia, Thank you for your response. However, this matter cannot wait until 8 June 2026.I have already submitted multiple complaints and escalation requests, yet no one from ABSA has contacted me or provided any meaningful feedback regarding the status of my claim. The situation has now become critical. Due to the severity of the water leak, I am experiencing electrical issues within the property, with the lights repeatedly tripping. Water has been running through the ceiling and light fittings, which I reported when the claim was first logged on 22 May 2026.I am extremely concerned about the safety of my family, the risk of further damage to my home, and the potential electrical hazard that now exists. The continued delay in attending to this matter is unacceptable given the circumstances.Must assistance only be provided once my property catches fire or someone is injured? I urgently require intervention, immediate feedback, and confirmation of the actions being taken to address this claim.I trust that ABSA will treat this matter with the urgency it warrants and provide a resolution without further delay.
