Utterly disappointing comprehensive cover
I am totally disappointed in the so called Homeowners Comprehensive Insurance which I've been paying since 2019, with my 1st claim being told that it's not covered by the insurance. So why is it called comprehensive if it doesn't cover all the plumbing matters.
I was advised by my tenants that there's a leakage on the bath tub which we don't know if it's a plumbing issue or not. Claims form on the 10th March was sent, completed and sent back.
Claim was the approved and Plumbing company was assigned. They did the assessment and this was the outcome *>>>DAS was appointed for [Resultant Damage] on this claim. Their reference number is: 937741<<<*.
They further confirmed that this is not covered by the insurance. I need to find my own plumber, which was really a waste of my time as the damage is getting worse.
Can ABSA enlighten me on their comprehensive cover because it's such a huge inconvenience thinking one has insurance only to be advised otherwise.
Kind regards Ingrid Ramela
