Urgent Complaint Regarding Claim Handling

Claim no: 452741 I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with how Absa House Insurance is handling my claim following the severe storm that hit Cape Flats over two weeks ago. My house has been severely affected, with a significant portion of the ceiling collapsed, leaving my family vulnerable and in a precarious situation. For the past three weeks, I have been relentlessly seeking assistance, only to be met with frustration and inefficiency. Today, after yet another attempt to get an update, I was informed that my claim is not considered valid. This decision is particularly perplexing and disappointing, given that Absa saw fit to approve a bond for this house three years ago. Additionally, I was promised an email detailing the outcome of my claim more than two hours ago, yet I am still waiting for this communication. My bond is in the region of R13,000 to R17,000,pm and I diligently pay my insurance premiums, expecting protection and support in times of crisis. The current response from Absa House Insurance leaves me questioning the very purpose of having insurance if it fails to provide assistance when most needed. I urge you to reconsider my claim and provide the necessary support to address the severe damage to my home. This matter is urgent and critical for the safety and well-being of my family. I look forward to your prompt and favorable response. Zeenatunisa Sydow *** Email: ***
