*****ULENT PARTNERSHIP - ABSA INSURANCE AND CELONA TRADE AND INVEST cc T/A EAGER HOLDINGS GEORGE
I would like to warn other policy holders insured by ABSA Insurance. We recently had flood damage in George this week which caused damage to many properties including my home. I had damage to my roof which caused rain damage to my one bedroom ceiling. My roof was just repainted over a year ago as I am a firm believer in doing maintenance on my property. As per norm we contacted ABSA insurance to please send out someone to come and look at the water leak coming through our ceiling. Like norm Eager Holdings is the Contractor listed as a preferred vendor on ABSA Insurance panel here in George and they sent out a young man named Donovan who couldn't be older than 25yrs old to come and assess the damage. In my opinion I don't believe this young man has the knowledge or the years experience to deliver a report based on his finding's that there has been no maintenance done to my roof, when infract my roof was painted just over a year ago and anyone standing outside my property can easily see this for themselves. Like norm with ABSA Insurance our claim was rejected based on the finding's of this young man that works for Eager Holding's here in George. This Company still get's paid for the assessment done with the money that I pay my insurance with on a monthly basis and walks away with no loss to them but to me as an insurer I am left with ceiling damage after the floods happened here in George this week and no positive outcome once again from ABSA bank and their insurance department. When dealing with the Manager in this Department, Mapule Mangwato. Mapule continuously rejects our claims and such of previous claims submitted before on our other properties we have. Eager Holding's were once again the preferred sub-contractor assigned to my Claim and like previously my claim was rejected once again. But subsequently before ABSA informed me that my claim was rejected this week, it wasn't even an hour after Eager Holding's visited my premises that I received a quote from them in my inbox for the ceiling to be replaced for the amount of R25 444.35 . I ask the question, how did Eager Holding's know that the claim would be rejected as I only received that information from ABSA bank today, however they already sent me a quote on the same day the assessment was done. It is Companies like Eager Holding's that are contracted on the panel of Insurance Companies like ABSA Bank that do assessments in favour of the Banks not to pay out for legitimate claims but still get paid for every assessment done whether the claim is approved or not, no loss to them at all for the assessment done, they are still getting paid with the money that policy holder's pay each month on insurance. The public should be made aware of these type of ****s between BIG insurance companies and there contractors - save the insurance company money by *****ulently claiming that no maintenance is done to a property so no claim is approved but the contractor still gets paid - what a partnership of *******ion between ABSA Insurance and Eager Holdings situated here in George. Reviews on the internet shows that ABSA Insurance is the worst insurance company to be insured with and the Public needs to be aware of this when choosing an insurance company - I wish I was made aware of these type of ****s before choosing ABSA Bank as my insurance company, I would never have chosen ABSA bank as my insurance company for all my properties !!!! I think an investigation by Carte Blanche should be initiated into these *****ulent partnerships. PUBLIC BE AWARE !!!!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
