I am absolutely furious and completely fed up with the way my insurance claim has been handled.
My vehicle has been at the panel beater since 29 June 2026.
The latest update is that five outstanding parts have an estimated arrival date of 11 November 2026.
29 JUNE TO 11 NOVEMBER — AND 11 NOVEMBER IS NOT EVEN A COMPLETION DATE.
It is only an estimated date for the parts to arrive. There is no guarantee they will arrive then, and the vehicle still needs to be completed after the parts arrive.
But it gets worse.
I have now also been told that the Ignition Housing and CPL Lock Set were only ordered on 18 August 2026, after documents were received from me.
There is not even an ETA for these parts.
So I now have parts that may only arrive in November, PLUS other parts that were only ordered now with no delivery date at all.
My vehicle has been at the panel beater since June. How are parts still being identified and ordered nearly two months later?
At this rate, I genuinely have no idea whether I will get my vehicle back before the end of the year or whether this will run into 2027.
I have already formally complained to the insurer. The complaint was escalated and I was given an escalation reference number. Yet I am STILL chasing for answers and STILL being given uncertain timelines.
Meanwhile, I continue to pay my monthly vehicle instalment for a vehicle that I don't have and cannot use. I rely on this vehicle to get to work. My financial obligations don't stop simply because the insurer and panel beater cannot complete the repair.
I am tired of waiting. I am tired of chasing. And I am tired of being given ETAs instead of solutions.
I don't want another generic update. I don't want another estimated date that can simply move again.
I want someone to take ownership of this claim and actually resolve it.
Almost two months without my vehicle, parts potentially only arriving in November, additional parts only ordered on 18 August with no ETA, and still no completion date.
This is, without a doubt, the worst claim process I have ever experienced.
Best regards,
