Shocking Client Service from Absa i-Direct

My name is Mr Njabulo Manyoni I was involved in an accident whilst traveling from Lesotho to Durban, South Africa on Sunday 21st of August 2022. We were on the R26 from Ficksburg headed towards Bethlehem and we hit potholes that damaged 3 tyres. When I called the emergency helpline, the ladies that I got through to were not only uncaring but shockingly lacking in empathy and client service etiquette. There was no consideration for the fact that I was away from my home province, stranded in a secluded road and traumatized. The giggling in the background didn't help the situation either. Moreover, I being told that once my car has been fixed, I will need to fetch it myself and risk driving on the same pothole ridden R26 that is 400km from my home ,thus reliving the trauma and risk once more, what a caring and client centered approach.

As a client who has been with this insurer for over 5 years (CLAIM FREE) I felt that I was not treated with the respect and empathy that I deserve and felt that the consultants that were interacting with me were not displaying values that are consistent with a client centred approach to client services. We should be exposed to such disrespect from our service providers, that we pay to render services to us
