Rejected claim from Absa idirect Insurance

Absa idirect Insurance Had a bad experience since I claimed on the 6th September 23,for the broken fridge, they have sent the technician who came to Assess my fridge I explained that the gas was leaking and I looked and found where the gas was coming from then I have to stop the gas by bending that thing now they said that Someone was trying to fix it and they are not going to cover me. So I was supposed to leave the house to be filled with gas? Please assist me as I see this is unfair.
