Please do not waste your time with these false insurers, they are just there to take your money but have stories when it cones to paying.

I have been insured with ABSA Idirect since 2019. I submitted a claim on the 19th June 2021 wherein I was the victim of a rear end bashing. The occupants of the vehicle attempted to hurt us and we were forced to drive away. I reported the incident and gave ABSA idirect all the information I had. Their investigation took 3 weeks to complete and they now informed me that they are not paying my claims. I was offered insurance with Discovery a few months before but was convinced to stay with ABSA who even told me that Discovery could have given me cheaper insurance without excess but would look for any reason not to pay. I find this very amusing since now they are refusing to pay. I wonder if they are doing this to all their policy holders due to the riots in the country.

Oh yes, their investigator says that I was driving forward and forced my car in reverse at high speed reversing into the person who drove behind me, without me even stopping first. I wonder how this is even possible without breaking the gearbox of y golf 7 GTI which is Automatic.

ABSA has come back to me with the most ridiculous answers. They will not provide me with their investigation report as it is privileged information? I went through the insurance quote which was not prepared by the panel beater but was done by an ABSA Idirect employee, the quote was inflated to include damage to my Sunroof and front fender badges? How is thus possible when I was hit from the rear? I can't understand this. I have searched on the internet and they have done this to many people. I will be taking it up with the ombudsman and also legally.

Once again, you guys never cease to amaze me. You repudiated my claim but still deduct premiums from my account. I want all of my premiums paid back to my account. As mentioned before I will be taking this further.
