The worse experience I had ever found myself in with ABSA Idirect car insurance. In 2021 March I was involved in a car accident, I followed all necessary instructions to be able to be assisted. I was then told the car it's written-off then one day after the call I got another call from them telling me that the car will be fixed it's no longer written-off. Upon the car's collection the car could not be driven like it was before, the was giving lots of problem only to find out to fix the car it was R50 000 I had to do a vehicle surrender back to the vehicle finance because the condition of the car it was worse until now I'm still paying for the vehicle that I'm not driving .So if you are a new vehicle buyer don't even think of trusting Absa I direct insurance ,since I requested the phone records where the approver was saying the vehicle was a write off until now I'm still waiting .
