Irrelevant reason to dodge a payout
Well here is a what happened, my car got a stone chip on the radiator while I was driving on the N1 and it lost power this was after collecting it from a dealership that took my car in for a service and a recall campaign on my behalf at BMW. So the reason why I asked another dealership to take my vehicle there was solely because of accountability and as it was a service that they offering which was convenient considering the fact that i am in other provinces during the week and the service could not be done over weekends. So I put a claim for this through my insurer (Absa idrirect) and I am told by a guy by the name of David Alec that my car is modified and he indicated that there is no way my car was at that dealership for them to take it to BMW. So I want to know what was my car doing there when I collected since he knows? 2. My car has cosmetics which I can replace my self and which i dont need insurance for, which modification is he referring to that has an impact on a radiator that is chipped by a stone?. And then he goes an extramile and he contacted BMW requesting information about my car (which I didnt authorise BMW to).
This company or should I say David Alec will do anything to dodge a payout. I opted to walk away from this company and pay for my vehicle as I can't be inconvenienced further.
