Insure with Idirect if you happy waiting looooooong!!!!

Hi,

I currently insure via Absa i-direct, policy number

I reported getting hit by lightning around 5th or 8th December 2016.

ABSA then contact a company to deal with your claim to see if any item can be repaired. No Problem

The company that they use to quote on this called me and I told them not to worry collecting until the New Year as I would be away. (First Mistake)

The company then duly collected around 08th January 2017.

I was told certain items would be repaired and others replaced.

I heard nothing until 25th January 2017, when we were told that the

repaired items could not be repaired but will be replaced but were

waiting approval from ABSA.

On the 26th January we signed off the job card and still nothing. I

called ABSA offices and the lady told me that the approval had been given (Only when i phoned?)

. On the 30th I was told by them again they were waiting to advise us when delivery would be made as they were waiting for deliveries of the goods (From 8th January?)

Based on the above, I clearly have not paid excess until they tell me delivery is ready to be made.

I would probably end up paying and then still waiting.

In The Interim while i patiently wait ------------------------------

I have now paid a month s fee for multichoice that I don t have, I have paid for an ADSL line for a modem I don t have, I have paid for DATA on a cell phone as I cannot use my data I pay for as I have no

modem. I m paying for a telephone line for phones I don t have and I don t

even have TV s to watch as they are gone too.

Why must I pay for ABSA's shocking service, who is refunding me for the above?

When I took out insurance with ABSA at no stage was I told that it would take close to a month to replace or repair items damaged.

The money I have lost on payments for service providers that I am not using does not justify dealing with ABSA.

Clearly I now need to change.
