Insurance Cover Cancelled Without Explanation
I have been a loyal policy holder for over 10 years with ABSA IDIRECT and I'm dissapointment that my loyalty meant nothing. I insured over three vehicles and household contents with them and included household contents which for the first time I tried to claim after an incident with my appliances in the house stopped working. I waited three weeks for a mere microwave fix and a dishwasher but all I got was a letter of canceling my insurance policy and I don't know why as no one called me.
I'm told that I only have one month to be covered and I'm truly disappointed at this insurance company after so many years of insuring my assets with them.
I will advise people to be careful when choosing an insurance and ABSA IDIRECT has really mistreated me. It's unfair for them to just cancel my insurance without consulting with me first. I am now sitting with a problem to seek out an insurance policy, a call could have made a difference. I regret my loyalty with this company.
The option for household contents is nothing but a tactic to sell the insurance and once you claim they reject it, the worse thing on my side is that my insurance policy gets Cancelled with pending claims for the household contents which have been declared a wear and rear but have not been returned to me and the other items no feedback has been provided.
I was told to go look for another insurance elsewhere after over 10 years of loyalty to ABSA IDIRECT and the treatment is very bad. No one should consider ABSA IDIRECT, clients are not valued and you cannot have peace of mind as they can just cancel your policy overnight.
