Household and Building Insurance

I had armed house ******* on the 6th June 2019, the intruders took tvs, play station, jewelleries, laptops, cellphones, safety shoes safe lock and BMW car. Fortunate the BMW was with another insurer which within a month, it was settled. The assessor from Absa came to assess the house after *******. The outcome after assessment and evaluation, i was told I am under insured and i must provide receipts of all items ******. With my safe lock been ****** i could not provide some of receipts however I provided pictures of the house before as they took the after pictures. They refused to pay without receipts.

I took the matter to Ombudsman, to date mark 11 months I am still waiting, while I am continuing to pay premium on a monthly basis. Premium was R1420 for a household of R273 000 and building of R750000. I reviewed my policy on the 25 September 2019 now, premium went from R1420 to R1090.00 with an increase on household sum insured to R450000 from R273 000 and building of R 753000

One thing I picked up on the breakdown of the pricing, as I managed to give them a receipt of my 20 years anniversary ring that was 6 months old, which was 50% off when purchasing it. Original price was R8000 and i paid R4000. On the breakdown price list provided by Absa I direct , they quoted a R4000 ring as R1200.00. If absa I direct can pay my loss its long overdue. Service received from Absa I direct insurance is vey bad.
