Horrible insurance company with pathetic service

The worst insurance company ever. Put my claim in on 1st December 2020 for my alarm that was struck by lightening. Only today 4/3/2021 do they ring me and say they will ring to make an appointment with an assessor so they can put in a new alarm. Do they honestly thing I can leave my property unsecured for over a year. I have already paid for the damage a long time ago.
