I received an sms and an email saying that my HOC premium will be going through my bond account in May 2026. In October 2025 I sent through a form after my bond was paid up and to be put in safe custody with ABSA. On that same form I requested that all insurance (life and short term) is to be cancelled and no further payments are to be put through the bond account. How is ABSA going to ensure that this will not take place as I do not want any more debits going through my bond account. I have also sent an email to ABSA with the same request and have not received any response except for a reference number C***6. I need an answer before the instalment goes off as I will not be paying for this.
