Failure of ABSA homeowners insurance to comply with their mandate.

Beware when dealing with ABSA homeowners insurance. I instituted a claim for a faulty geyser, the repairs where under warranty as it had been repaired 2 months before. It seems to me that the parts they fitted by the ABSA approved plumbers were of inferior quality. They sent out their designated plumber and he indicated that the previous plumber needs to return and repair under warranty. The second plumber said that an electrician needs to come out and look at the issue. After contacting the electrician and ABSA to investigate why nobody had pitch up, in desperation I found a local plumber at my own cost. It was fixed and I paid the amount, which I forwarded to ABSA to get a refund. I am still waiting and am still out of pocket.
