Exceptional service from Albert
I called Absa idirect department to cancel my motor vehicle insurance due to the crazy monthly premiums, my story is a long one.I got a better offer from 1st for Women - the 1st for Women offered me monthly premiums of R1,881.00 with an excess of R2,800.00 with no shortfall cover which is a stupid decision, at Absa I'm paying R2,467.26 with an excess of R3,000.00 and a shortfall cover, there is a huge, huge difference or saving right! if you were to compare the two premiums, However there is a catch. As I was speaking to the 1st for Women representative who was assisting me with the quote she advised that I will be covered for the Trade value however there is also Market value, and ... I forgotten the 3rd one, I asked her what's the difference she said they just the same because you're still under comprehensive cover which is the best cover which didn't make sense, I asked her then WHY do you have 3 options if they are the same?, she couldn't answer but nonetheless I continued to sign up for the offer and then I called Absa idirect to cancel my insurance I spoke to Albert who was so relaxed and calm, Albert said okay I acknowledge that you want to cancel your policy but can I just check for you if I can't give you a better offer. I said okay I mean I'm not in a hurry but at the back of my mind I was like I know for a fact Absa can't beat 1st for Women so I'm definitely cancelling this thing I had enough, Albert took me through my policy with Absa and explained everything even if I said I know it and guess what I'm the happiest customer, Albert saved me from making the biggest mistake in life sometimes I allow my emotions to control me, when I have made up my mind I sometimes don't even check the prons and cons of whatever I have decided to go for, I don't want to lie I was not happy with changing from Absa but I felt like I had enough there's no way I'll pay this much even worse as a staff member. Albert offered an exceptional service there, he lowered my premiums to R2,011.00 big up, he's a very good asset to Absa you deserve 7 stars out 5. Keep it up. One might wonder but still Absa didn't beat 1st for Women monthly premiums, I know, but as I went through my 1st for Women policy document and my Absa policy documents I realised that what I already have with Absa is best compare to what my 1st for women policy covers, so I decided not to cancel my policy with Absa anymore. Thank you Albert. Another thing insurance representatives can you please stop omitting other information that might affect the customer tomorrow, explain everything whether good or bad to the customer and let the customer to be the one who picks the lowest option not you because you want a customer on your side, that's not a good customer service I could have known what I'm signing myself up for if the 1st for Women representative explained everything to me in-terms of the Trade value, market value, and so on not to say the options are the same, if there's more than 1 option just know they definitely not the same.
