Electrical Surge / Lightning Surge

I submitted a claim for a alarm system that was damaged by high voltage surge last year December 2015. Absa claim no. ***<br> <br> I told them exactly my story what I saw the day of the indecent and the sparks that I saw on the overhead lines. I also mentioned this to my service provider. On this day there was a wind storm with a lot of dust and static that we are use to in Bloemfontein.<br> <br> To cut all short they did not pay out the claim due to power surge that is not covered apparently. I requested several times the report how it was determined between lightning and power surge to proof their outcome and not going by what I told them.<br> <br> I believe they should have done their own investigation to determine the final outcome.<br> <br> At some stage during the process of giving them all the salvage from my service provider they said they received no salvage and when all was handed over they only wanted to pay out the PC board only of R 3000 and after questioning the rest of the salvage they rejected all in the claim.<br> <br> <br>
