Dispute of Unfairly Declined Claim – Immediate Resolution Required

No one seems to assist telephonically

I am writing to formally dispute the decision to decline our recent claim regarding the break-in at our property. The reasoning provided is unacceptable and does not take into account the urgency and seriousness of the situation — especially with small children living in the home, exposed to both ongoing security and health risks. To recap: We previously logged a claim in 2020 involving damage to a door and gate. At the time, no conclusive proof was provided that these items were repaired, and now, in this new claim, entirely different items are involved — specifically, a broken window and burglar bars resulting from a recent break-in. Your own inspection images clearly show that the damage in this case is not the same as in the previous claim. There is a new case number below.

We even advised your team to remove the door and gate from the current claim so that the rest of the repairs could be processed, yet this request was ignored. Meanwhile, the window remains broken, the bars unsecured, and this leaves our home dangerously vulnerable to further intrusion. Our children’s safety and health are directly at risk, especially during this cold winter season — they are already falling ill because the window cannot be closed.

We have given more than enough time for a fair resolution, but it is clear this has been mishandled. If we do not receive confirmation by end of this week that this claim will be revisited and settled appropriately, we will be forced to escalate this matter through external regulatory bodies and legal means. Should anything further happen to our property or affect our children’s health due to this negligence, be assured this will not be the last time you hear from us.

We urge you to act swiftly and responsibly to resolve this issue without further delay.

This is a formal complaint regarding the ongoing lack of action and communication concerning our claim related to the recent break-in, which has an official case number.
To date, we have not received any phone call or written confirmation that this claim will be re-reviewed, despite multiple follow-ups. It is completely unacceptable that the entire claim appears to have been declined based on one issue — especially one we specifically requested to be removed due to your team's refusal to acknowledge the extensive proof provided. This includes photographic evidence from your own contractor, clearly showing that the damage from the previous claim and the current claim are entirely different.
We are extremely frustrated that nothing has progressed, and that Mr. Newton has yet to be contacted. The property remains unsecured, putting our family at risk — and we are still paying monthly insurance premiums for cover we are not receiving.
If this matter is not urgently addressed, and the claim reopened and actioned, we will have no choice but to escalate this further. We are also prepared to include medical documentation for our children, who have fallen ill as a result of the ongoing delay and unsafe conditions in the home.
We demand immediate contact and resolution.

It has now been 9 days with no email and no phone call whatsoever. At this point, I believe I need to escalate this matter further.
I was told that someone had emailed and called — that is simply not true. No contact has been made. I am now requesting that this claim be reopened immediately and thoroughly reviewed.
We have waited long enough. This claim cannot simply be declined in its entirety, and we expect a proper explanation and resolution.
If Mr. Newton does not receive a call today confirming that this case is being re-reviewed, I will be pursuing legal action. I will be submitting all supporting documentation, including medical notes, to demonstrate the impact this situation has had on him and the entire household.

They called yesterday and they said they will call back, still nothing! The claim needs to be reviewed we do not need an email as to why the claim was declined we know why, we need it re looked at because legally the entire claim can not be declined because of the one issue. Like we told them after 10 days they did not even know we complained, instead of go back on the calls you say is recorded where the email is confirmed for security questions, please do tell me how it was passed if you do not even have that email address???? make this made sense. Use are messing us around. We want management to call back this morning.

There was no feedback provided. Mr Newton is a pensioner and I am paying this bond and Insurance. I will take this further, We have requested this claim to be reopened and re-looked because by law the entire claim cannot be declined because of 1 issue where proof was given. 14 days later. This will now be taken further legally. No one seems to get back to Mr Newton with his request to re look at this claim legally. Its being ignored. You disregard an old man because his old. The house is still unsafe and everything is still broken because of the break in and you guys have time to go back and forth and ignore the request with no valid reason. We will take it further.
