Disgusting Service from ABSA Insurance

As an ex-Absa employee I am appalled to have experience the service I have subjected to and have empathy for our frontline staff who have to deal with irate customers who have no joy with ABSA Insurance division.

My drama started in June 2023 when I requested about 4 times for my annual HOC to be deducted monthly iso of annually. Having finally received a call back from an agent after having to use my contacts in regional office, it was arranged that the debit order commence the following month. The following month came and went and no debit order was deducted from my account. I contacted the same agent, once again via the regional office contact, only to be told "apologies, there was a problem our side" and that the debit order would go off the following month. My question was, if I did not enquire, when were you going to correct the "error your side"?

Moving on. With the most recent storms, my roof with damaged and we had to have it repaired to avoid further damage to our content and property. I tried to log a claim since 2 October - and let me not start to tell you the painful experience it has been since .....again! I have been battling to get someone to come out to the property to assess. Eventually after threats and once again going into a branch for some response, we received a call from an agent.

Needless to say, there was an appointment set up at our convenience, for the contractor to come out yesterday 17 October. Only for the contractor to change the time on the day and decide to arrange a time that suited them and not consider as to whether we were at home to recieve them or not!

If this is not infuriating and enough to make you spit fire I don't know!

Then someone calls and rattles off a message - and when I ask if I could call back because she is speaking too fast and is incoherent, there's no response, not even a dialling tone to the number ***.

So should I post a Hello Peter complaint to get some kind of positive response?
