Constant Bad Service
I'm not one to write a review on a bad experience I have had with a company, but this one comes with a list of issues, and even giving ABSA activate a 2nd chance at being my insurance company.
Getting hold of customer service is a mission in itself, after "Pressing 1" you sit on hold for an extremely long period of time, when requesting a call back via email because of this, they email you back instead of calling back.
Previously I had an issue where the panic button wasn't getting any response as no phone call was received, this after trying to get hold of their emergency line for over 3 hours, I'm still waiting for a call from the tech dept after it was escalated to see if there was an issue with the panic button, the activate app also doesn't sync correctly with the tracker, the app would only show my trip starting in the middle of the trip, or not even register the trip at all.
After changing my address, and having my car now parked in a locked garage and not in a complex parking lot with a motorised gate, my premium has gone up by about 42%, this is utterly disgusting.
I have sent you an email on 19 February, 2025, requesting a cancellation of my policy, yet it still seems to be active... I called the call centre today (21 February, 2025) I 1st waited 10 minutes to be connected to an agent who I was able to talk to for 5 minutes and request a cancellation, she then put me on hold, and I waited and then all of a sudden I got the hold music you get when you just call in, I eventually hung up after the call had lasted a total of 46 minutes, of which 41 minutes was total agony of hold music... What are the agents playing at in call centre... I work for Amazon and I know if I were to have a customer on hold for this long I would be in a hearing and possibly looking at losing my job... So please don't make any excuses for the lack of etiquette that that staff at the call centre are portraying, I don't want to hear any more apologies, I just want my policy to be cancelled.
